Jillian Roed is a comics artist, writer…

… penciler, inker, colorist, flat filler, and beta reader. She’s a creative born and raised in Staten Island, NY, with an appetite for the marriage of visual and written arts — imagine her surprise when she found out about comic books.

Roed released her first comic, Growth, in 2019 when she was still in high school, signing copies at her local comic shop. In 2021, she released a 50-page comic, Risqué, as well as beginning a partnership with Eisner-nominated comics writer Magdalene Visaggio, in which Roed was the beta reader on her upcomic graphic novel Girlmode, published by HarperCollins.

Jillian likes superhero comics, magical girls, and her eclectic mix of artist friends. She’s also a hobbyist baker and 3D modeller. You can typically find her at a bus stop, carrying a pin-covered backpack and reading a comic book.
